“[At UAG] my daughter worked harder than ever, with the help of her wonderful teachers. After School tutoring was available to help with difficult subjects like geometry and global. Phone calls came in from the school constantly to assure my daughter wasn’t late for important test. The school felt like a caring family. Everyone is very respectful and concerned… Wonderful people.”

Marisia Rivera Rucker, Parent of Arissa James, (Class of 2016)

“My son is passionate about STEM and computer technology. He has had the goal of becoming a software engineer since 7th grade. UAG gives him the unparalleled opportunities to explore software engineering alongside all of the other subjects and areas of study crucial to the high school experience. More importantly, the hardworking and inspiring teachers, carefully handpicked by his extraordinary principal April McKoy, have kept my rising junior enthusiastically engaged in all of his subjects including the humanities. UAG is not only an ideal learning environment but a close knit extended family. I could not be happier with this amazing school.”

Karen Capucilli, Parent of Noah Capucilli (UAG Junior)

“UAG has been a second home for my daughter with caring and qualified staff she graduated with honors. UAG prepared her for life beyond her high school experience, with the relentless actions of a dedicated principal; I am proud to called UAG our family. A family that would go above and beyond for every child that walks through those doors.”

Virginia Lewis, mother of Venetia Boyce (Graduating senior class 2015)

“I’ve worked at UAG now for 5 years and I’ve never seen a school so driven to embody the ideals of collaboration and growth-mindset that we ask of our children… The overall goal for every teacher at UAG is growth and development. This means different things for different teachers, but we are able to do this with very frank and helpful discussions with admin and staff members, who even take time out of their prep periods to observe classes and offer feedback….Teaching here will change you–always for the better.”

Marvin Gruszka, Earth Science Teacher

“When I first started at UAG, I was met with warm smiles and a daring commitment to education that carried on throughout my four years there. Never have I met a group of teachers and administrators that are as willing to listen to their students and help them succeed both in and out of class.”

Venetia Boyce, Class of 2015
